How do I dry a newly coated screen?Updated a day ago

For the fastest and most consistent drying, your drying area should have:

• Good airflow: Position fans so they're blowing directly across your coated screens.
• Low humidity: Keep the room below 40% relative humidity. A dehumidifier is one of the best investments you can make for your darkroom.
• Warm temperatures: Aim for around 80°F. Drying can still be successful between 70°F and 90°F, but warm, dry air will produce the best results.
• Screen rack or Drying Cabinet: To store your screens in while they dry. If you're having issues with your humidity or shop temperature, a drying cabinet can really help with drying times.
• No Light: Keep your dark room UV and LED light free while they are drying to avoid an accidental exposure.

The combination of warm air, constant airflow, and low humidity helps moisture evaporate from the emulsion quickly and evenly, ensuring your screens are completely dry before exposure.
