Plastisol Ink

Because plastisol ink doesn't air-dry, it's relatively easy to clean from your screen, even if the screen has been sitting for a while.

Start by carding off any excess ink and returning it to your container. Then, lay your screen flat and spray it with a screen-cleaning product such as Sgreen® Ink Degrader, Sgreen® Supreme Wash, or Easiway On Press Wash.

Wipe the screen thoroughly with a rag, working the cleaner into the remaining ink. As the rag becomes saturated, switch to a clean section or a fresh rag and continue wiping until the ink has been removed and the screen is clean.

Water-Based Ink

Water-based inks can be cleaned up with water, but they require a little more attention than plastisol. Because the water in water-based ink begins to evaporate when exposed to air, the ink can become increasingly difficult to remove the longer it sits in the screen.

For easier cleanup and to help reduce staining, use a product like Sgreen® Aquawash. Aquawash helps break down and remove water-based ink pigments, making it easier to clean the screen and reduce image staining.
