How long do screens need to dry?Updated a day ago

A freshly coated screen must be completely dry before it's exposed. Any moisture left in the emulsion can lead to inconsistent exposures and poor stencil quality.

Drying time depends entirely on the conditions in your drying area. In a well-controlled environment with good airflow, temperatures around 80°F, and 30% humidity, a single screen can dry in 30 minutes or less. However, in a space with little airflow and 60% or higher humidity, a screen may take 24-48 hours or may never dry enough to expose properly. 

For the best results, keep your drying area warm (not hot), well-ventilated, and as dry as possible.
