If your darkroom, the space where you dry and store coated screens, is too humid, the screens will not be dry enough to properly expose. Screens that are not correctly exposed with experience on-press breakdown of the emulsion and difficulty in reclaiming the screens.

The dehumidifier will pull moisture from the room, creating an optimal environment for drying coated screens, which will help create an optimal stencil. 

A dry box is a great way to ensure coated screens dry properly. You can either purchase one, or make one yourself.
