When do I know I need a dye blocker base?Updated 2 years ago

You need a dye blocker base when you are printing on the following fabrics:

  • Anything that is dye sublimated. There are some dye sublimated garments that you can not stop the dye migration on.
  • Unknown polyester quality. Whenever you are printing on 100% polyester, you want to test the garment to see which ink produces the best results for that garment. Continue testing on different garments until you have a catalog of good and bad polyester brands and fabrics. If you see any dye migration during testing, you’ll need a blocker base.
